Dr Anita Prag is a clinical psychologist in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. Dr Prag completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and Community Counselling at the University of Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. Anita went on to perform service by working at the Military Hospital in Wynberg and Saldanha Naval Base as part of her training. Anita had the unique experience of having the opportunity to work in the war torn Democratic Republic of Congo and Burundi as the resident psychologist. The rare experience of working in these conditions has given her a unique insight into the various stressors that can bear down on ordinary people. Anita presented stress and conflict management workshops as well as providing psychotherapy to soldiers suffering from the trauma induced by the violence of war. Anita has during her career worked closely with a Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician, Psychiatrists, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists in helping patients through difficulties and trauma.
